Attention Pace Players!

Coming March 15th 2007, in the Student Union, is what promises to be the hottest Pace University party of the year. A night filled with music and contests, you can win prizes for just showing up!

Contests include:
(open to Pace students* only)

1. Player’s Call: The First Impression: One of the simpler contests, each contestant will demonstrate how to attract another individual who catches their interest. Everybody knows that the first impression is the most important, so it is important to make it count. The winner of this competition receives a $20 Gift Certificate for J&R Music World.

2.You Know My Style:This contest is to showcase participants’ sense of fashion. Participants will go up in front of the audience and be judged on their style of clothing. The winner of this contest will receive a mystery gift of a $35 value.

3. Freestyle to This:Contestants are given 20 seconds to freestyle to a situation given by our judges. Each contestant will get their own topic. The winner will receive a $50 J&R Music World Gift Card.

4. Dance Off: Contestants will be given the opportunity to show their craziest and most unique dance moves to the audience. The winner of this competition will receive a $50 J&R Music World Gift Card.

5. Sing your heart out:Contestants will be judged on their singing capabilities. The winner will receive a $50 J&R Music World Gift Card

6. Betcha Can’t Do It Like Me: This is for contestants that feel that they have something to show that is so unique, that nobody else can do it. The winner will receive a $50 MasterCard Gift Card.

7. Juice Award: We at WPUB feel that everybody in the Pace Community has worked hard to be where they are at now. With that in mind, everybody deserves to be recognized. With this known, during the show we will randomly pick a non-winner or audience member for this award. The award is actually symbolic. It will be a box of Tropicana orange juice. When somebody has done something to earn the respect of others, they are seen as having the “juice” just like in the movie Juice. Before the presentation of the award we will show a snippet of the movie which will explain what we mean by “juice” so everybody understands what we mean. ($5 for juice)

8. Player of the Year: This contest is special because the winners will be chosen by a ballot taken before the event. The Player of the Year is seen as an overall role model to the Pace Community who truly represents “Pace Self Expression”. The first place winners will each receive a crown, robe, trophy and $100 MasterCard Gift card. One second place winner will receive a VCR/DVD Player and a third place winner will receive a mystery gift of a $50 value

9. Raffle Drawing: Any Pace student present at the event can enter into a raffle for a special gift package of an iPod video, and iDog companion. Anybody who wishes to participate in the raffle must purchase a ticket for $2.
